Pablo Lago Dantas is an experienced cinematographer, a Camerimage best cinematography nominee whose films have made it to more than 100 official selections in prestigious international festivals. In his visual language, he is fascinated by the search for the subconscious, using his Galician connections to myth and rituals to add layers and depth to the mundane.

He has also directed «O auto das ánimas» his first film as a director. An encounter with his place of origin and family. It is a journey through memory, tradition, the deconstruction of home, death, and the passage of time. The film premiered at Visions du Reel International Film Festival (Switzerland), and it has been selected in Guadalajara International Film Festival, and Montreal International Documentary Film Festival, among others. Also, it received many awards.

Some of his highlights are “The six degrees of Freedom”, a documentary produced by Colibrí Studio, winner of the special mention award at FICUNAM, in which he was nominated for Best Cinematography at energaCamerimage.

«Coda Sacra», a short film produced by Alter Films, premiered at Sitges International Festival of Fantastic Film of Catalonia, which received the AWARD GOLD at the Queen Palm International Film Festival, the AWARD SILVER at the Independent Short Awards Los Angeles, and the AWARD OF MERIT in the Best Short Competition.

“Beautiful Colors”, a fashion film produced by Mondays Inc., was nominated for Best Cinematography at the Cinematographer’s Showcase, presented at the Aesthetica Short Film Festival or Berlin Commercial, as well as at many fashion film festivals, like Los Angeles, Rome, New York, Athens or Istanbul.

«Come Back to You», produced by Kill the Film, was nominated for Best Cinematography at Music Video Underground Los Angeles and presented at MTV Dance.
